Have you found yourself or others at First Parish saying “I Wish Somebody Would…” or even “Someone should…” and then filling in the blank with a good idea like “bring back the plant fair” or “start a women’s group” or “organize the lost and found” (oh hey, someone did do that!)
We’re trying an experiment, brought to you by the First Parish Faith Development Committee, particularly the Adult Ed Sub-Group. Thanks to Randi Currier for being the person driving the “I Wish Somebody Would” board forward with Rev. Annie and thanks to Erin Campbell for pushing the FDC to brainstorm more multigenerational activity ideas.
There are 3 ways you can participate after clicking the button:
I Wish Someone Would- You can add your own ideas by clicking on the teal plus sign in the bottom right corner. Just write your idea in the post that opens up and hit “publish” to make it public
- You can also click on the little heart icon on a given idea if you like it and want to show your support
- Lastly, and most importantly, if you can help make the idea happen and are willing to give some time and energy to it, add your name as a comment on the idea! If an idea gets 3 names on it, Rev. Annie will connect those 3 people and they can go forth and make it happen!
