Joshua Page lived in Bedford from 1779-1842. A builder and member of one of the founding families of Bedford, he did much to give Bedford the "look" that we strive so earnestly to preserve today. Bob Slechta is retired from Boston University where he was a professor of Biology and Associate Dean of the Graduate School. He has demonstrated a passion for preserving and teaching Bedford’s history though his membership in the Bedford Historic District Commission, Bedford Historic Preservation Commission, Bedford Historical Society and Friends of Job Lane House.
