It’s Good to Be Together

Beyond worship, First Parish offers opportunities for social, intellectual, and spiritual connections among parishioners.  Our Sunday morning lyceums feature speakers who present on a variety of topics that are of interest to our parishioners as well as the community at large.  Circle suppers, pot lucks, cottage meetings, short-story and book discussions, a jobs group, and small-group ministries come together regularly.  Our annual mystery friend program and church retreat help bridge the generations, as do our periodic group travels to our partner parish in Transylvania.  Additionally, First Parish provides a number of ways to get involved with parishioners and others outside the church by giving back through committee work, volunteerism, social action, and the Lay Pastoral Visitors program, which offers both volunteer opportunities and aid and assistance to those in need.
