Bob talks about the story of the comic book from its beginnings. Comic books sprung from the Sunday funny papers, but shortly developed into a book form of their own with unique storylines style and characters often reflecting the politics and society of the time. Bob writes, “As a child, my favorite thing to do was to read comic books. I started with Disney and Dell comics and progressed to reading the DC and Marvel Super Hero comics. I managed (with no little effort) to prevent my parents from throwing out my collection while I was in the service, so I still have them and can share some with you.
